Welcome to The Island Reporter’s website! At The Island Reporter, we work hard and have fun bringing human interest stories and neighborhood news written by award-winning, published authors and editorialists of all ages to our readers and online visitors.
Our newspaper is unique because we primarily focus on editorial and are not an ad tabloid. The Island Reporter is one of only a few beach newspapers to be delivered by mail to homeowners and businesses in the communities that comprise the South Gulf Beaches area of southern Pinellas County (FL). We are proud to serve the communities of Bacopa Bay , Bayway Isles, Broadwater, Dolphin Cay, Isla del Sol, Maximo Moorings, Pass-a-Grille, St. Pete Beach, Tierra Verde and Vina del Mar . And, our newspaper is available free-of-charge at various pick-up locations throughout the area. Scroll to Page 2 on the Current Issue link to view a complete list of our current advertisers and pick-up locations.
We are very proud of the fact that our newspaper is augmented by an interactive and frequently-updated website. This greatly expands the exposure of our advertisers and editorial features. And, it’s the “green way” to do business (less paper . . . more reach). Readers tell us that they enjoy being able to keep up with The Island Reporter whenever they are out of town! We agree . . . having access to our newspaper online is a good thing!
As partners in publishing, Connie and I both reside on the island of Tierra Verde and love the surrounding area. Life in the South Gulf Beaches offers gorgeous sunsets that can, quite literally, bring tears to your eyes. Residents are committed to preserving our area’s flora, fauna, and unique natural resources. It is a place where residents and visitors alike come to enjoy the beauty of our top-rated beaches, parks, restaurants, museums, and everything this area has to offer!
Take some time, while here, to acquaint yourself with our staff and review our advertising rates. As a friend of The Island Reporter, we encourage you to patronize the businesses that, through their advertising support, make it possible for us to provide a free, friendly, and fun newspaper!
On behalf of everyone associated with The Island Reporter, we hope that you will bookmark our website as one of your personal favorites and visit often! Thank you!
